Use the following as a guide for pacing and TEKS alignment with Texas ELAR 6-8
The Year-At-A-Glance charts present the standards covered by core lessons within a six- or nine-week planning framework. These charts assume that students have a Language Arts class every day for at least 50 minutes and that they can devote at least twenty minutes a day outside of class to completing independent Solo assignments. Depending on the size and length of their classes, teachers may find that students require additional time to complete lessons, especially during teachers’ first year of implementation.
