How could I match the Knowledge and Skills lessons with the science and social studies TEKS addressed in the unit?

Exploring the Cross-Curricular Connecter Overview

Kindergarten–Grade 5 Cross-Curricular Connections Overview

Research shows that building background knowledge plays an important role in both developing students’ reading comprehension and allowing them to access complex texts and concepts. The Amplify Texas Elementary Literacy program immerses students in diverse literary, historical, and scientific topics and themes, allowing students to build content knowledge, strengthen vocabulary, and develop critical thinking skills. This program is aligned to the Reading Language Arts Texas Essential Knowledge and Skills (TEKS) standards and draws connections to the strands from the social studies and science subject areas, though it does not explicitly teach social studies and science TEKS.
