      Texas Elementary Literacy Program Vocabulary Lessons

      Vocabulary Lessons provide supplemental instruction based on domain vocabulary words and skills in the Texas Elementary Literacy Program.

      These mini-lessons (in the form of slideshow presentations) aid teachers in delivering instruction with minimal preparation.

      Each Vocabulary Lesson includes direct instruction and modeling of the vocabulary skill, guided practice, Check For Understanding opportunities, independent practice, and Formative Assessment moments. This “I do-we do-you do” format helps teachers support student development and evaluate progress to ensure students’ mastery of each skill.
